In our fast-paced London lifestyles, it can be all too easy to live in our heads. Our thoughts can run at a thousand miles per minute, pulling us between the past and the future as we lend our mental energy to things that have already happened and things that have not yet come to pass. Whilst our mind’s capacity for time travel can be a wonderful thing, it has a tendency to distract us from what is happening in the here and now - a space that is often rich with the potential for peace, joy and stillness if we allow ourselves to surrender to it.

The body cannot exist anywhere but in the present. It is by honouring our embodied experience as living, feeling beings existing between Earth and sky that we can find our way back into the Now. Join Mollie (UnMind) and Omotayo (Sacred Shapes) for an afternoon of yoga, embodiment practices and intuitive dance as we facilitate a space that invites you to be where your feet are. To find your roots and allow the wisdom of the body to ground us back in the moment as we give ourselves space to explore what we find there.

The workshop will be one of gentle inquiry, inviting us to slowly sink into the safety and support of a space that is free of judgement where everyone is empowered to tune into their own authentic experience. We will begin the session with a sharing circle to come together as a group, before being guided by Mollie through a 5 elements yoga flow and meditation. Omotayo will then lead us through some embodiment practices, offering a variety of ways in which we can tap into ‘intuitive movement’ - movement that is led by the body rather than by the mind. From this place of playful exploration, we will slowly transition into intuitive dance. This is a space in which there are no steps to follow, no choreography to learn, no way to do it wrong. It's a chance to connect with yourself and with the changing rhythms of music, finding a way into whatever movement feels right for you in the moment. To finish we shall come together in a deeply grounding yoga nidra.

Through moving, breathing and dancing ourselves into presence, we shall leave together feeling grounded, supported and open to what lessons and blessings our present experience holds for us.

We look forward to co-creating with you!
